Because spelling can change overtime, and I'm proposing that "poser" is the correct way to spell it now, since very few people spell it "poseur."Which is the correct spelling, in your view: Poser or poseur?

Spelling does change over time; I doubt that it goes into overtime to change. "Poseur' has a definite meaning. "Poser' has a definite meaning. Those two meanings are not the same.
