Is there a way to update your computer's dictionary?

Not just right-click, "Add to dictionary." I mean to add a LOT of words at once. I have a new laptop and it keeps highlighting about 90% of my words as misspelled, even though I spell them right. Is there a faster way to add words? Is there a way to update your computer's dictionary?
That depends on the program. Windows itself doesn't have a dictionary.

How do I make an offline dictionary using Visual Basic 6.0?

The dictionary should have a database with arrays so users can search for a word and should also have a spelling logic program to search for close matches. How do I make an offline dictionary using Visual Basic 6.0?
that's not hard.

try to put the hierarchy of your design at first and then implement each step in it and if u have aproblem ask here.

  • Is 'does'(dose) the hardest word in the dictionary to spell?

LOL Thank you! I keep noticing that too and I've been trying to bite my tongue about it.Is 'does'(dose) the hardest word in the dictionary to spell?
    No. Pseudopseudohypoparathyroidism is.
LOL. I need that. Thanks. Is 'does'(dose) the hardest word in the dictionary to spell?
seems like it "dosen't" it? Another thing that drives me crazy is UR for you are. Ur is a city in ancient Chaldea, grrrrrrrrrr
yesIs 'does'(dose) the hardest word in the dictionary to spell?
it can be for some LOL
No, I would imagine words like phanatophydia or deoxyribonucleic acid or glucose-6-dehydrogenase, or hemoglobinuria ect would be harder.

Wait..that's my objectives for next week's test :P

    *edit* Alisa..it's "opthamologist"
That's not half as bad as people spelling 'or' a-r-e. Get it? Cause it's 2 letters %26amp; 2 is 1/2 of 4. I know, I'm a geek sometimes.
    LOL! Apparently so.
Personally, I have a bit more trouble with

    taumatawha

    katangihan

    gakoauauot

    amateapoka

    iwhenuakit

    anatahu.

(That's all one word, but Y!A shortens it when it's all together.)

Actually, I think I may've just spelled that wrong. Lol.

I memorized it 6 years ago for an independent study, but it's a bit loose, by now.

EDIT: Actually, Alisa's right. A friend of mine's dad is an ophthalmologist, and he gave his son 20 bucks to learn to spell it right. Lol.
That all depends on what "is" is.
Antidisestablishmentarianism hmmm not the hardest, but supposedly the longest. I also love ophthalmologist. I have a daughter that is visually impaired and that one took me a while to remember.
lol....maybe they type to fast. mmm...Interesting.
    Try Pneumonoultramicros copicsilicovolcanoconiosis.

It's the longest word in the English language. 45 letters.
Heh, atleast it seems like so. You could ask is their (there) and such words hard to spell :P

A pointless but ah such a great question! :D
I think hysterosalpingo-oophorectomy is a bit harder to spell.
No I can remember that one because I work in healthcare and I use dose all the time when referring to medication dose. I have a hard time spelling definition (definiation). In my mind there just has to be an a in there but there is not.
this is kind of the wrong category...but no it is not the hardest word to spell...
hmmmm how about that supercalafragalistic word...... thats a long hard one.... I use to use that for hang man.. on people that didnt know the word...LOL... I had alot of losers..ha ha .... who makes up these words anyway??

Where can i find a dictionary listing fossils?

I found a fossil when I was about nine at an oilfield location. I remember a geologist asking if he could keep it. He said it was called a metacasauras. The 'ca' was stressed. I have no clue if I spelled that right. It is only a four inch piece and he told me a full sized one would be roughly a foot long. I was also told that most pieces found were less than two inches long. It still has a lot of color and also small bumps or spikes every 3/4 of an inch along the top. I'd really love to have some info on this fossil. Thanks.Where can i find a dictionary listing fossils?
I would contact the geology department of your local university or museum, if they cannot identify your fossil straight off, they will certainly have research resourcesWhere can i find a dictionary listing fossils?
They did a very detailed presentation covering all sort of dinosaur fossils in Discovery Channel last month. Check out their site.

Can someone help me with my spelling? I am trying to say?

a statement which includes the following, yet I am unsure if I have spelt the word Secome correctly. The context is

"...might further secome to tourist expectation". Can someone advise if i spelt this correct, as spell checker is not picking it up and I haven't at present got access to a dictionary.

    Many thanks,

Si .Can someone help me with my spelling? I am trying to say?
is it succumb you are after, thats the only word that i can think of.
it could be succumb if what you are trying to say is that it gives in to tourist expectations. Can someone help me with my spelling? I am trying to say?
It may be succumb.. as in change or overcome
Succumb. Can someone help me with my spelling? I am trying to say?
    succumb
succumbe is the d word mate - carry on
I think you mean succumb pet.
Do you mean 'succumb' (give in to or collapse under pressure)

    -Daniel
    yes succumb
You spelled it right, but when posting questions or answering them, type it the way regular people say it.Okay?
its succumb instead of secome =] tricky huh?
yeah..look like ur trying to say seccumb

    here's the definition:

    1. to give way to superior force; yield: to succumb to despair.

    2. to yield to disease, wounds, old age, etc.; die.
The part of the sentence you have written is not very clear, it may have been better to write it out in full, and ask for it to be corrected?

I assume that you are studying tourism, so depending on the first part of this sentence, suggest that there may be a much better phrase than 'succumb' to use within it?
    Its succumb
You have access to a computer but not a dictionary, jezzz whats the world coming to.
The sentence doesn't make much sense even with this but - succumb. As in 'give in to'.
    Succumb is the correct spelling
    Do you mean succumb?
    might further SUCCOMB. . .
    the word should be ...succumb.
I don't have the web address at hand but in your browser type Wordweb. It is a free downloadable dictionary that also converts words into different languages
Succumb: To yield or submit to an overpowering force of overwhelming desire; give in or give up
