Which is better, Oxford Dictionary or Merriam-Webster Dictionary?

I'm a Liberal Arts College student and i'm planning to buy an electronic dictionary...

and English is not my first language...i'm looking for the dictionary that have thesaurus, pronunciation, spelling, phonetics style checker and etc...

Go with the Merriam Webster. It has all the features you mention and another I like a lot. When there are a group of words that have similar meanings, it lists them and defines the subtle differences between each.
