it would be a typo. if in doubt look it up in another dictionary.

All words in the Dictionary are spelt correctly, if it is any good.
In case you are writing a letter in MS word it is very easy to find out when a word spelt wrongly it underline with red so that you will know that word is spelt wrongly and you can correct it. In latest verson it correct automatically. In that case you will not know that you have spelt a word wrongly.If a word is spelt wrong in the dictionary how will you find out ?

I doubt very much that any would be. They are checked and checked and double checked before they go to print.If a word is spelt wrong in the dictionary how will you find out ?
Consult three good different branded dictionaries, they all should have the right spelling but typos happen but consulting a few should clear it up
Statistically there is a small chance that a word would be SPELLED wrong -- NOT spelt.



If this were to occur one would hope that the person looking up the word knows enough about and is well-read enough, that they would understand that that the rules of the English Language to figure this out for themselves.
This question has been asked before and I'm not answering it again.
You would not know anyway, spelt is spelt s-p-e-l-l-e-d. The men and women who write and edit the dictionary make it their lifes work to be sure that the words are SPELLED correctly. If one were to be misspelled, it would be a catastrophe in their social circle.
