What's the best way to study for a medical spelling test?

I'm doing this competition, and, I was just wondering, what is the best way to study for a test/spell off like this? The first thing they do is give you a test, and then if you pass it, you go on to the next round which is like a spelling bee.

I just wanted to know what would be the best ways to know the words, and really study them. I have the dictionaries that are going to be referenced to in the competition. What's the best way to study for a medical spelling test?
learn the roots to the words. many medical terms come from latin, which is basically root words. things like exo=outside, endo=inside, tomy=cut. if you know the meanings of the roots you can put the word together, and when you know how to spell the smaller parts of the words you can put them together to spell the whole word easier.
