What word is the longest word in the English dictionary that could be read the same backwards and forwards?

For example, the word "tenet" has the same spelling backwards and forwards and means the same backwards and forwards. Unfortunately for me, that's the longest one I could think of off of the top of my head.

It's called a palindrome.
