In 4th grade, I got to go to the district Spelling Bee. I didn't memorize the whole dictionary. Here are some tips:

-Memorize the spelling patterns. Like, the long a sound is spelled a , ai, a_e, etc.

-Learn base words, prefixes, and suffixes, like aqua, -ed, and spect. Some words come from different languages.

-Look for spelling exceptions. Memorize those words. Don't push yourself too far.

-Some words are commonly misspelled, like valuable.

-Have your parents or a friend quiz you on some words. Then, make a list of words you have trouble on and study them.

-Say to yourself that you're the best! Encourage yourself! You can do it!

Here are some websites that may help.

Good luck!
say the word then spell it, don't spell to fast so you can memorize them, if you have someone in your family willing to help you ask them or ask one of your friends. Just spell it a lot of times to practise, if you do this a lot of times YOU WILL BE #1 ON YOUR SCHOOL ON SPELLING BEE!!!!!!! SO START MEMORIZING!....... i hope i helped :DI need to memorize a dictionary help!!!! best answer 10 points! OPEN THIS?
I don't think you can memorise each and every word.

Your best tactic will be to learn all the "rules" like "i before e" etc and also learn all the exceptions to the rules
